Can D.C. block my vehicle registration in VA?

I received a ticket from a speed camera in D.C. I am morally against the use of speed and red light cameras and feel it is a violation of my rights and liberty. Since these tickets do not go on your driving record, they are solely for the purpose of generating revenue for a jurisdiction which I am also opposed to. For these reasons, I do not plan on paying this ticket.

Here is my question: Since some states don't forward information to others, can Washington D.C. block me from renewing my vehicle registration in Virginia?

Is this some sort of a joke or what? You can be morally opposed to whatever you want, stop making excuses. Since when was speeding part of your "rights and liberty"?

Since Washington DC and Virginia are so close to each other and have people driving back and forth across the border all the time, I'd be very surprised if they didn't share this information.

Yes, they can.

If you're morally against the use of speed and light cameras, don't drive.
