General Accident - scheduling policy change. HELP!?

I am picking up a new car from a dealership on Wednesday.

The problem I am having with General Accident insures is that I cannot schedule the time for the change of the car on my policy.

This is a serious problem for me because I need to drive my old car on the policy to the dealership (insured) to be traded in and then schedule the new car to be updated onto the policy from 1 o'clock when I drive the new car away.

I want to get the resolved ASAP however General Accident does not have helpline and deal with customers only over email, which states on their website can take up to a day for them to reply.

The site says 24/7 support, but I cant get the phone number. Look at your ID card, and should have a phone number on it to call. (like to file a claim).



This should be easy. Your insurance will delete old car you will be trading and adding the new, effective the same day as the trade.

This states that up to 35 days after you get a quote or policy, no support???? Or, that they will charge you an extra $30?



Look, I have always had an agent, that I can call, or even to make a payment by phone. I hate to have to go online, set up a used id and a password. Also with an agent, you can get advice, like, what is the "right" coverage I need. Or, in this instance, talk to them, and they add/delete at the same time.



You can call an agent tomorrow, get coverage for the new car, then send an email on Wednesday, notifying them to cancel your insurance on the old. In effect, you would have 1 extra day on the old, but, if you can actually talk to a "live" person and get this set up, could save some aggravation.

Why do you have to scedule. Who is your agent. He os She handles your policy. you do none of this online or through Email. I you are having to do this your screwwed and need a new insurance company.Call Liberty mutual. Notice i said call I buy and sell Cars. I call my agent when the deal is done.at the sellers and have insurance in ten minutes, this is how its done.
