Getting your pic taken by one ot those flash traffic cameras does not give you points on your license. However, it is a fine . . . the equivalent of a parking ticket. The reasoning behind this is that when a pic is flashed the ticket is written to the vehicle's owner (from the plate), not the driver. If you lend out your car and someone else runs a light, you get the ticket. Now, most people have told me that its not worth fighting. If you get one of those tickets, just pay it. Here's the reason: If you fight it and they blow up a still of the pic and you are clearly identified, then you can actually be given a moving violation . . . that equals points.

Are you in the UK? If so, if anything happens it will be a fixed penalty of £60 plus 3 points. You have an "allowance" of 6 points during the first two years after passing your test, reach that total and you go right back to requiring a provisional licence, L plates, accompanying driver and all, until you pass the tests again.
So be very, very careful . . .

A fine and 3 points most likely and the ice has just got a lot thinner, any more of these and you become a pedestrian for a while.

Oo, if they catch up with you its 3 points and halfway to getting your L-plates back again. And to correct others, generally a full licence holder of over 2 years loses it either when banned by Court or over twelve points.

Depends on your location. In my city there are no points and a $50 fine. Apparently, in other places there are points.

3 points and a fine if your unlucky but nothing if you are lucky and they have not changed the film in the camera. i have been flashed once only at a redlight camera and there couldnt have been any film in it as i didnt hear anything.

3 points and a fine. No, you won't get "band" or even banned if it your first offence.
Red lights means STOP by the way...

Driving licenses are hard to get and easy to lose, slow down.

In New York its no points and a 50 dollar fine
They cant give you points because they cant prove it was you driving
But since they have your plate.........
50 bucks or we'll suspend your license
