Car MOT failure, do you have to provide the 2nd garage with the failure notice?

Thanks for the previous advices, final query, when i take the car to the alternative garage do i have to show them the failure notice from the 1st garage? (which i have good reason to believe have been upto no good!!!), does the 2nd garage just do another (their own) MOT test, many many thanks!

No, it'll show up anyway on their computer.

no...i wouldn't even mention the failure notice to the 2nd garage...you are going to pay for a full MOT there anyway...see what they find when they test it....don't let them be influenced by your failure notice.



but...the 1st garage...once you have the work done - usually re-test it for free anyway...well they do where i live, providing you take it back in 2 weeks....and you can get the work done elsewhere if you wish.

its all down to who mots it, its one Pearson's opinion off if your vehicle is up to stander ed, just how Much ware etc. is allowed. no need to say anything
