im 18 and about to take the written test for a permit or a license

question is...
is it hard?
how many questions?
and so I need to take another written test for my license?
I can just go to the dmv right? or dps? (where I got my texas ID)

I heard that the test was a few common sense questions

Hey, so you have to take a computerized road test (25 questions I believe). I you get 5 wrong you fail but if you get 20 right, you automatically pass. This is if you're getting your permit or if you don't have a permit and you're 18 and getting your license, you'll have to take the computer test. If you want to pass, I recommend an app: DMV Driving Test 2013! Hope I helped and good luck(:.

I know in Texas, it's a computer based test that is just a few laws and common sense questions. It stops once you get enough of the questions correct. I don't know how many there actually are.

Go to the DPS, you do not usually need an appointment for the written permit test. You will need an appointment to take the road test for your license.
