what does it mean pass a vehicle road test & DOT physical?

i have job interview,.. what does they mean by pass a vehicle road test & DOT physical???
are they gonna take my physical or i need to make my physical then go to interview???

Of course not. You answer a series of health related questions to make sure youre fit to drive and they also check your vision. Road test is just that, they test your driving on the roads.

One of the drivers license personel will accompany you for a on the road test. A Dot physical, you go into a clinic or they can have medical people to this at the trucking company. At the clinic they drug test you a urine sample, They test your eyes reading the letters from a chart at a short distance, they test your eyes to make sure you are not color blind. Next you sit in a examination room for the physician to come in and talk with you. some times they give you a short physical test. If you pass they give you your DOT medical card to keep with you while you drive. The Dot at the weigh stations will ask for your card, you will need this card to renew your CDL.

The test schneider trucking company gave me onsite. While they take your pulse while you perform a number of tests like a duck walk, lifting etc and if you go over the allowed heart rate for your height and weight they fail you.

I have a medical card and just took a physical a month ago to get it. Why do I have to take another one?
